Canoe at Auburn Bay: Buyer Profile

Meet Igor!  He’s the proud new owner of the 1 Bed and Den at Canoe by Avi Urban.  We have so many great homeowners at Canoe, needless to say Igor is one of them.  We asked him to fill out some questions for us, and here is what he had to say about himself and why he chose to call Canoe home.

Favourite thing about Auburn Bay or the SE?

The lake!  I will feel like I am living in a tropical place having the lake so close.  Being able to go swimming in evenings or on weekends will feel awesome.  I also like the location.  Auburn Bay is close to many highways, so the commute to the inner city or to the mountains will be very easy.

Why you chose to call Canoe your home?

It was one of the first showhomes I visited and I was just amazed with how it looked and the price at which the condos were selling.  The staff (Kassandra and Tara) were unbelievable with their friendliness and worked hard with me to find the exact unit and features I was looking for in my dream home.  Also, the location is perfect, as one day it will be walking distance from the LRT station.

How you heard about us?

I knew that Auburn Bay was a newer neighbourhood, so I had a feeling there were going to be new condos there.  I was looking for a condo specifically, so one day I drove through Auburn Bay and found my dream home there.  The rest is history.

Your favorite thing about your new home?

Too early to say now, I think I will love it more when I actually move in.  My favourite part about my new home is that it will be my first “own” home, and I will finally live on my own.  Can’t wait for that day!

Favourite sinful food?

Love donuts.  Try my hardest to limit myself but sometimes your wants take over 🙂

What is the coolest thing about you?

Ran up the CN Tower, and recently I ran in the Calgary Marathon (although I only ran the 21km).  One day I hope to run in the full 42 km marathon, how cool would that be.

Nicknames as a kid?

Mr Ghost

Weirdest thing you have ever eaten?

Chicken and pork heart.  It actually tastes good.

Most embarrassing moment?

When I first moved to Canada I did not know what the “F” finger was.  I thought it was ok to show it to people.  Showed it to my school teacher once, and let’s just say it did not end well.

Most triumphant moment?

The day I graduated SAIT.  It was hard, it took a long time, but finally that day came when I was able to say “I am now a somebody on this Earth.”

If you could have a super power what would it be?

I would love to fly.

What do you think about the name Canoe?  Love it or hate it?  And Why?

Like it.  It’s unique and original for a condo complex in the neighbourhood of Lakeside living.

Thanks for answering our questions, Igor!  Welcome to the Canoe family!
