Canoe at Auburn Bay: A few things to check out this holiday season!

Now that we’ve gotten through the Thanksgiving season and we’re half way through November, it’s the time when we all start to get into the holiday spirit for Christmas! I’ve been looking around for some fun things to do all over the City and I wanted to share some of them.

One of my all time favourite things to do on a clear cold night around Christmas time is take a trip to the Calgary Zoo, grab a hot chocolate and see the zoo all lit up with lights. This runs from November 21 to January 3rd and is well worth the visit. Make sure to bundle up!

If you’re looking for a way to see beautiful lights and stay toasty warm in your car, there’s a free event at Spruce Meadows. You can hop in your car and take a drive through the grounds lit up with 500,000 LED lights. This is one I am definitely going to check out this year and it runs from December 5th to January 4th between 5-10pm.

For an evening indoors, the Alberta Ballet is putting on their annual production of the Nutcracker. This is a story most of us are familiar with especially around this time of year. The Nutcracker runs from Dec. 18th to Dec. 24th.  For more information and tickets I’ve attached the link.  http://albertaballet.com/upcoming-performances/the-nutcracker/126.html

Another Christmas classic is Charles Dickens’s A Christmas Carol, which is put on by the Theatre Calgary and runs from November 27 to December 24th. Click the link for more info http://www.theatrecalgary.com/plays/christmas_carol/more_info/

For more things going on around the city this time of year I’ve included the link to 10 Christmas events to check out, which include some of the one’s I’ve listed. http://globalnews.ca/news/1663528/10-christmas-events-in-calgary-this-year/

In Auburn Bay, the Auburn House has winter long activities such as skating and tobogganing! But for the holidays they have a few different events like a Christmas Craft Market and a Family Christmas Party. Check out the link for more information and also what our homeowners at Canoe will have to look forward to for the holidays when they move into their homes http://auburnbay-connect.com/

If you’re still considering making a move into Auburn Bay, maybe buying your first home, or looking to live the condo lifestyle, come check out what we have at Canoe! We have several great plans still available to chose from with beautiful high end finishing’s and every unit has heated underground parking.

Hope to see you soon!
