Duke at Mission: In the community

Go Flames Go! Go Flames Go!

My three favorite words every October! It is hometown hockey time as the regular season kicked off this week for the Calgary Flames.

With the big signings of Johnny Gaudreau and Sean Monahan, we flames fans have a few things to be excited about. If that’s not enough, we have new goaltenders and  new coaching, which means a brand new attitude coming from the bench.  I think this year is going to be great for die hard hockey fans like myself.

One of the best things about it for me this year is how close I’ll be to the action. The Scotiabank Saddledome is a ten minute walk away from Duke at Mission which means stumbling to or from the game couldn’t possibly be any easier.

The Scotiabank Saddledome hosts concerts, sporting events, comedy acts and variety shows year round. It’s also a main event venue during Stampede time. When you reside at Duke at Mission you won’t have to to pay for parking every time you attend an event or worry about getting stuck in that hour-long traffic jam leaving the grounds after a fun night. And lets face it, can you really put a price on avoiding the overly crowded train station, packed with rowdy fans after Calgary wins a game? You can’t. But what you can do is call Duke at Mission home and alleviate all those concerns because you’re only a quick jaunt away from every single game.

Come down to see why so many people are happy to call Duke at Mission home.

Until next time,

Jamie @ Duke
