Jackson at Walden: Make the most of your balcony with a DIY stacked garden!

Why not utilize your balcony to grow a garden full of herbs in Jackson at Walden?

What you’ll need:

  • Five potting containers (various sizes – small to large)
  • Paint. I recommend chalk paint; it’ the best since it adheres to anything and no priming is required. You can find this paint at Home Depot
  • Chalkboard paint, plant markers – you can find these at Dollarama or, if you’re crafty, you can easily make them yourself with some wood and your chalkboard paint
  • Potting soil and a good fertilizer
  • Herbs (cilantro, parsley, mint – the choices are endless)

Directions:

  • Paint your containers
  • Stack your potting containers inside one another (largest to smallest)
  • Fill up each container with soil and fertilizer
  • Plant your herb seeds following planting instructions
  • Water

Happy planting!
