Sawyer Silverado: May Construction Update and Local Events

This week’s weather has our construction team excited!

They’ve been busy outside working on the suspended slab in your new Calgary condo. This will create the ceiling for the underground parking, as well as the main floor subfloor. In the pictures you’ll see the little drops, which help maintain the structural support for the concrete slab. We use paper face plywood for the base to pour the concrete, paper face plywood is a material that is easier to remove once the concrete has set and dried.

The rough-ins for the parkade are also being done. Rough-ins include HVAC, electrical wiring and plumbing all being installed in the walls before any drywall and finishing is done. Also coming up this week, we have surveyors coming down to start the roads. Roads will be going in this month. Once we have the concrete slab for the main level finished, we will start to see building once rise from the ground and framing will begin!

On Saturday, May 11th, we had AMP Radio and the Noodle Bus visiting us at the show suite here in Silverado. What a busy day! With over 100 people through the doors, including our existing homeowners coming down to see the progress and eat some noodles, we are well on our way to being sold out of building three.

If you missed out on all the excitement this weekend, it’s still not too late to come down and check out our beautiful show suite of our ever so popular 2 bedroom A floor plan. We look forward to seeing you!
