August at University District: Construction Update – March 2020

Happy March! Construction progress at August has been moving at a very steady pace — check out what’s happening 🙂

Parkade – Parkade has been painted! Plumbers have most of the mechanical room complete on P1, HVAC is still being installed, sprinkler systems are about 80% installed. Electricians are still working their way through both levels.

Main Floor – The main floor will have steel stud walls starting shortly for the ground level retail units, plumbers and electricians are about 80% complete. After the walls are completed, they will be able to finish all services.

2nd Floor – The second floor has been roughed in and passed inspections. Yay! Units on this floor will be dry walled out by the end of the week

3rd Floor – Gypcrete is complete. Spray foam is happenings today, rough ins are complete. Inspections will start on Thursday this week, with insulation and drywall to follow.

4th Floor – Gypcrete is complete, rough ins will continue today with an estimated completion date of March 13, spray foam will follow on March 16th.

5th Floor – Gypcrete is being poured today. Rough in completion should be March 24th.

6th Floor – Rough ins are moving along. Gypcrete is scheduled for March 17th. Prep has been started. Rough ins should be complete April 8th.

Roof – As long as the weather holds up, the roof should be completed by the end of the week.

Exterior Finish – Scaffolding is up in the SW corner of the building in preparation for the exterior work to start in a week or so (also weather dependent). We can’t wait to start seeing the building really come to life.

If you haven’t had a chance to drive past your new home, I would highly recommend it! It’s looking so great, and you can really start to picture what University Ave is going to look like.

See you next month,
