We’re always excited to see our Avi Urban developments featured in local publications like the Calgary Herald and New Condo Guide. With tons of new developments on the go and great momentum with groundbreakings and showhomes, we’ve been all over the news lately.
Check out some excerpts of the articles below and let us know what you think!
Calgary Sun: Avi’s Prospect Rise fills important need
Avi Urban started construction on yet another of its many projects in Calgary, with a ground-breaking ceremony for Prospect Rise Kincora, attended by new homeowner Carol Cater and her daughter Lauren.
The Cater family bought in Prospect Rise after deciding to downsize their home.
“We had made the decision to downsize from a house to a townhouse and we looked around the city for quite awhile,” says Carol Cater.
“It was important that we had a combination of modern layouts and finishes and be maintenance free (and) the courtyard sealed the deal for us.”
Calgary Herald: Edison sparks eureka moment
Like Thomas Edison, the famed inventor who is the namesake of a new condo project they’ll soon call home, Todd Littlewood and Clint Kniss had a bright idea.
Time-consuming and costly upkeep on their spacious single-family home in Shawnessy was too much to take, so they turned to something that better suited their needs.
The Calgary couple bought a three-bedroom townhome in a new Avi Urban development called Edison.
“We’re not as handy as some people are who like to do projects in their house,” says Kniss, 42. “We like to travel, so we’d rather spend our money on that.”
Now they can just lock it and leave it. Clint is a site management co-ordinator, while Littlewood is an associate for mortgage specialists.
Edison is a collection of townhomes with pre-construction prices starting in the $250,000s in the southeast community of Walden.
After much anticipation, Avi Urban has broken ground at their newest multi-family develpment, Sawyer Silverado. Charron Ungar, president of Avi Urban and Victor Mutambo, general manager at Avi Urban, were joined this past week by first-time homeowner Jennifer Roche. Roch, 30, works as a pharmacy professional and pruchased a one bedroom condo at Sawyer.
“I really like the south and loved the layout of the one bedroom floorplan,” explains Roch. “Iplus, their standard selections are more upgraded than any else I’d seen.”
