Favourite thing about Auburn Bay or the SE?
This was the first neighbourhood I lived in when I moved to Calgary. I thought it was great – the lake access is awesome, and the area is really well cared for and maintained. The fact that more commercial development is happening is an added bonus!
I’m 27 and work for a custom home builder and commercial construction company. I was born in Vancouver, grew up in Winnipeg and then Ottawa before Calgary. I love dogs, traveling, and enjoy getting out to the mountains in the summer.
Why you chose to call Canoe your home?
I loved the look of the building right away. When I first stopped in to the sales center to get more information, I felt very comfortable and there was no pressure – that’s huge for me when making a big purchase! I already felt at home in Auburn Bay. It was an easy decision.
How you heard about us?
Your favourite thing about your new home?
The finishing’s are great. I got the exact look I had in mind for my new home at a price I could afford.
Favourite sinful food?
Pho, and pretty much anything that is pure carbohydrates.
What is the coolest thing about you?
I went canyoneering in Costa Rica last year – great experience!
Nicknames as a kid?
Tash – still is 🙂
Weirdest thing you have ever eaten?
Chocolate-covered crickets. An experience that will not be repeating itself.
Most embarrassing moment?
They happen on a daily basis, it’s hard to choose!
If you could have a super power what would it be?
Invisibility – I could hop on a plane free of charge and go anywhere I wanted!
What do you think about the name Canoe? Love it or hate it? And Why?
I think it suits the area given that it’s a lake community.
Thanks again, Tasha! It was a pleasure getting to know you. Welcome to our Canoe family!
