The Chinese New Year Carnival is hosted at the Calgary Chinese Cultural Center (197 1st Street SW) from January 20-22, 2012. This three day even brings in people from all over the city to celebrate the most important traditional Chinese holiday.  The carnival includes an ice sculpture competition with an official lighting ceremony on Sunday, January 22nd at 12pm. The dragon and multiple lions dance will also take place on Sunday, January 22nd at noon.
