Duke at Mission: Don’t Forget to Remember

Hi all,

With remembrance day approaching, we wanted to remind you of a few things. Make sure you pick up your poppy and stop by the Field of Crosses remembrance day memorial, which is open until Nov 11, 2016.

Here’s a list of activities and events happening in the city, so everyone is able to pay respects on this special day.

Remembrance Day In Calgary – Events & Ceremonies 2016

Of the events happening, many are free to attend on Remembrance day, offer numerous celebrations and encourage community involvement.

Some of these events include:

  • The Royal Canadian Legion in Kensington, which is holding a ceremony from 9:30a.m.-10:45a.m. with a lunch service at noon.
  • Battalion Park will have a ceremony guided by a public address, speeches and a wreath laying event from 10:30a.m.-12 p.m.
  • The Jubilee Auditorium will host a wreath laying ceremony orchestrated by Political, Veterans’, Civil, Military and community organizations from 9:30 a.m.-11:45 a.m.

All of the details on these and other events can be found on the Remembrance Day in Calgary website.
