Jackson at Walden – Buyer Profile

Here at Avi Urban, we like to feature the people who choose to purchase and live in an Avi Urban home. We are so proud of the homes we build, and the people who live in them!

Meet Jennifer Arkison and Ryan Lumsden. They are the newest homeowners to purchase in Jackson at Walden.

Jenn and Ryan are from Ontario but moved to Calgary for Jenn’s work.  She is a teacher and Ryan is the Sous Chef at MADE Foods  https://www.madefoods.com/
We had the opportunity to sit down with them and get to know them a little better….

Proud new owners of the:
Auburn floor plan

Why did you choose the Auburn?
We chose this floor plan for the beautiful kitchen located in the middle of the main floor. Great for hosting and accessing from the dining and living rooms. The living room has a great spot for special items such as our Christmas tree , television and any size sofa. Great flow to the room! We also enjoy having an end unit with three bedrooms, two and a half baths for guests and upstairs laundry. The balcony off the dining room makes for an ideal BBQ on a summer night. We also can say that the options we have for outdoor living are great! Our front patio and back balcony will be covered with sun all through the day.

How did you hear about us?
We heard about Avi Urban through co workers, magazine advertisements, marketing on social media and also through the variety of show homes located in the south of Calgary. A friend of ours recently purchased a Legacy street town and was extremely pleased with the experience through her development. We were curious to see what the Avi Urban showhomes would look like. After spending two hours in the Jackson showhomes on our first visit, we knew we needed to live there and that nothing compared to it in our price range.

Why did you choose to call Jackson at Walden home?
We love how fresh and up & coming it is. We feel that Walden has plenty of room to grow. Its clean, modern features attract young couples like us. We also enjoy how close it is to public transit, making it easy for us to get to work in the mornings. Walden also has good amenities such as groceries, fitness, clothing stores, convenience stores, and gas stations. A movie theater and the new hospital are also close by. Lastly, major highways are just a few minutes away.
