Despite welcoming the first snow fall in September, we have made some great progress in the development here in Winston at Walden. The project is really coming together with the top lift completed in Phase 1 and landscaping scheduled to be complete this week (weather permitting). Now, let’s just hope we actually get a fall and don’t go straight into winter… not only for construction purposes but also all the pumpkin spice goodies that come with the season!
Here is your building-by-building progress update:
Building 6 – We have just released building 6 for sale and are already almost half sold! This building is at foundation stage. The foundation is the base of your home and includes pouring concrete for the main floor and everything underneath. Once the footings and foundation walls are formed, and concrete is poured, we take some time to allow everything to cure before taking excavated dirt and filling in the hole around the foundation walls.
Building 15 – Building 15 is at insulation and drywall. After Insulation is complete, drywall is hung and taped in preparation for painting. This is also the stage for completing the ceiling texture. Next is the fun stuff; interior finishings!
Building 16 & 22- Buildings 16 & 21 are at interior finishings. Now you’ll see your house really start coming together; as drywall goes on and installation of all the finishes like cabinetry, light fixtures, flooring and paint are completed.
Building 17 & 21 – Both of these buildings are finishing up the interior finishings. Once they’ve completed this step, the final touches will have your home ready for move-in!
Building 23 – Building 23 just finishing drywall stage and is now ready for interior finishing’s. Now you’ll see your house really start coming together, as drywall goes on and installation of all the finishes like cabinetry, light fixtures, flooring and paint are completed. Once they’ve completed this step, the final touches will have your home ready for move-in!
Stay warm, drive safe, and I’ll see you next month!
